Central Michigan was founded in 1892 in Mount Pleasant. Though it shares a state with powerhouses Michigan and Michigan State, Central still punches above its weight in football, winning 2 Division II titles before jumping up to Division I. Notable Chippewas include Dick Enberg, Matt Bevin, Antonio Brown, Dan Majerle, Jeff Daniels, and Tom Crean.
