Texas women’s basketball is practically an institution, and the 1985-86 national championship team set the standard. The team went undefeated on the year, never once faltering from their AP Poll No. 1 ranking. In the title game, the Longhorns faced a challenge against USC, but took down the Women of Troy, 97-81.
